This online course has four components:
- A series of email, of which this is the first
- Content on the web site
- An online community bulletin board where you are encouraged to post questions (aka forum)
(and answer other's questions if you are able)
- Checklists for you to monitor your progress
There is no other course on starting a business that has all these components.

This course consists of a weekly email. During the first week, though, there's a lot to cover, so you'll receive a bit more than this. But don't worry, after the first week, it'll taper off to a weekly email with step-by-step instructions.
The "Homeroom" page is designed to be your starting point for anything you need. You'll need a username/password to access this page.

Going to the Homeroom www.steps-to-starting-your-business.com/homeroom/ allows you to avoid the homepage, which is more of a sales pitch for the course. Be sure to bookmark this or add it to your favorites.
You can also get to the homeroom by going to the homepage and click on Student Login in the upper right-hand corner.

You should have already registered to use the bulletin board, but if you haven't, now's a good time. This is where you go to post questions, maybe answer a few, start discussions, and provide feedback for this course.
- Register to have access to the bulletin board if you haven't done so already.
